December Holiday Rainbow

BOOK CHALLENGE:  DECEMBER HOLIDAY RAINBOW

This book challenge will have you reading a rainbow of books about December holidays!  Here are ten books that go along with this theme.  To meet the challenge you must read three December holiday books and they each must have a different color.  Here are ten suggested books, but you can read other books on this theme too:

Red:  Chanukah (available on Bookflix)
Red:  Crafts for Kwanzaa by Kathy Ross
Orange:  When Washington Crossed the Deleware:  A Wintertime Story for Young Patriots by Lynne Cheney
Yellow:  Eight Chanukah Lights by Annie Auerbach
Yellow:  My First Kwanzaa Book by Deborah Newton Chocolate
Green:  Christmas Presents:  Holiday Poetry (I Can Read Book) by Lee Bennett Hopkins
Blue:  Bear Stays Up for Christmas by Karma Wilson
Blue:  The Night of Las Posadas by Tomie dePaola
Blue:  The Month of Kislev:  A Story for Hanukkah by Nina Jaffe (available on Bookflix)
Purple:  Dragon's Merry Christmas by Dave Pilkey

You can read these books at home or in class.  Just remember to put them on your reading log!  Almost all of these books can be found in either the Morris Plains or the Morris County Library and many of them are available in our classroom.

Use the comments section to make comments, ask questions, or tell us other great December holiday books you've read.
Happy reading,
Miss Kramer
