December Holiday Rainbow

DECEMBER HOLIDAY RAINBOW

This month let's read a rainbow of books about December holidays (and one that comes in early January)!  Here are eight books that go along with this theme.  These books tell about five different holidays:
Saint Nicholas' Day-December 6
Hanukkah-December 6-14
Christmas-December 25
Kwanzaa-December 26
Three Kings' Day-January 6

Orange:  When Washington Crossed the Deleware:  A Wintertime Story for Young Patriots by Lynne Cheney
Yellow:  My First Kwanzaa by Karen Katz
Yellow:  Three Kings' Day by Beatriz McConnie Zapater
Green:  The Twelve Dogs of Christmas by Emma Kragen
Green:  Eight Winter Nights: A Family Hanukkah Book by Laura Krauss Melmed
Blue:  A Gift from Saint Nicholas by Carole Kismaric
Purple:  Oliver and Amanda's Christmas by Jean Van Leeuwen

      I hope to read Oliver and Amanda's Christmas. I think books are made because they give you information . but fiction does not teach you stuff but i think they are made because they are funny and fun. I think Oliver and Amanda's Christmas will be good.

    I read a christmas book called the Christmas Puppy. It is about a puppy that gets into trouble a lot. I really enjoyed it then I think you would like it too. Emma.

      Hi my name is Tanner. And I have red the Twelve Dogs of Christmas it is a song. And a lot of people like it. It is about dogs and someone gives all the dogs that they know about. there is a disc for the song because it is a song. You can put the disc in your tv or your radio.
